World Heriage Watch aims at bringing civil society voices to the attentoin of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee (WHC); the session of UNESCO’s WHC starts 10. July.
uranium-network.org made the issue of World Heritage site Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania, threatened by the development of Mkuju River Uranium Project to interantional attendance.
uranium-nework.org calls for a re-integration of the planned uranium mine site into the World Heritage protected Selous Game Reserve; a similar diceions had brought Koongarra uranium deposint in Australia under protection through World Heritage status.
